Handmade with solid sterling silver and a beautifully faceted rutilated quartz gemstone. This stone is full of rutile crystal formations within it so I created a custom prong setting that let the stone to take center stage and would highlight these unique details. This prong setting allows light to be able to pass through the sides of the gem and enhance the natural sparkle of the crystal. Because the stone is a bit large I created a wide band ring so that the weight would be distributed and it wouldn't be top heavy. The wide band hugs the finger and makes this really comfortable and easy to wear. The size of the ring is 7.5 but due to the width of the band it tends to fit more snugly and feels more like a size 7 on the finger. I oxidized the entire ring to give it an antiqued patina and then polished the ring to give it a nice buttery soft shine.
