Description
This one of a kind pendant was handmade in our studio from solid sterling silver and features a beautifully faceted rutilated quartz gemstone. The tiny gold threadlike inclusions within the quartz are naturally occuring rutile crystals and they add such a unique pattern and color to the stone. I created a custom prong setting for the stone to securely hold it while allowing light to pass through the stone from every angle to showcase the unique gem and give just the right amount of sparkle. I hammer textured the accents and oversized bail and then oxidized the silver before polishing the piece to a high shine. The bail will accomodate up to an 8mm chain.
