This little pendant is something totally new for us — and it all started with scrap silver. Over the years, we end up with lots of tiny offcuts from making chains, ear wires, hoops, and links. I decided to start melting those leftover bits into a single blob, then hammering and shaping them into organic ovals. They aren’t perfect circles — they’re irregular and slightly wonky in the best way — which gives them this really handmade, earthy character that I love.
Once I had the silver shaped and polished, I used our new laser engraver to etch a delicate image of three crocus flowers into the surface. The lines are very fine, so I oxidized the engraving to darken it, then gave the whole piece a brushed matte finish. That combo was key — a high polish made the design disappear, but once I dulled the shine a little, the engraving came to life. It’s not a bold or loud piece — the beauty is in the details.
The handmade wire bail is looped and soldered to the back of the pendant, allowing it to slide freely on a variety of chains up to 4mm. It’s a sweet everyday piece that carries a little quiet story of spring and sustainability.

Argentium Sterling Silver is a high grade of sterling silver. Traditional sterling silver is 92.5% silver while Argentium is 94% pure silver. In addition to a higher silver content, Argentium is also certified nickel free, created from recycled silver, brighter white in color and is naturally tarnish resistant due to having less copper present than traditional silver. Argentium Sterling Silver is transparent about what their alloy is so you can be sure you are getting hypoallergenic nickel free sterling silver.
