We're Paul and Roxann Lizardi, the husband and wife team behind Lizardi Jewelry. Our journey started in 2006 at a mall kiosk, and now, after years of hard work and refining our craft, we're proud to share our unique designs with customers through our Etsy shop and this website. We put so much heart into every piece, and are truly dedicated to going that extra mile to make sure your jewelry is just right!
How It All Began
Back in 2006, a weekend craft fair turned into a full time job and obsession with the opening up of the Roxy Made Jewelry Boutique Kiosk in the Enfield Square Mall. I worked there everyday and made jewelry right in the booth, beading and working with wire to create unique designs. I realized right away that this was my passion and I wanted to learn, and know, and practice everything I could about jewelry making! Almost two decades later I'm still just as fascinated by this craft.
Building Our Dream Together
In 2007, Paul and I got married and opened a larger store, working there together every day. During that time, we taught ourselves metalsmithing, learning how to use a torch and solder sterling silver. After running stores in the Holyoke and Enfield malls for several years, we launched our first Etsy shop. Being online allowed us to reach a much wider audience, and soon we realized we couldn’t keep up with both the store and the online shop. In 2012, we made the decision to close our mall location and set up a studio in our home, where we could focus fully on perfecting our craft. Now, we create and ship all of our jewelry directly from our home studio and sell exclusively online. We work right across from each other and it's such a dream come true to have this awesome space for our creativity!
Inspired By the Art of Metalwork
We've spent over 18 years dedicated to learning this craft and it's amazing how much there is to explore! Working with silver is endlessly inspiring—watching how it melts, forms, and folds under different hammers and tools. Not to mention the stunning array of gemstones that are available, there's just always something new and exciting to make. I hope to be a lifelong learner, never losing the creative drive to keep discovering. We’re constantly bouncing ideas off each other and trying new things. Running a business can be hard work, but the reward of being able to do what we love and what lights us up makes it all worthwhile.
