Design Your Own Jewelry!

This week, I decided to try something a bit different! Instead of completing all the new pieces, I created the settings and now it’s your turn to pick. You can choose between two ring designs or two pendant options. If you go for a pendant, you can order it with or without a chain, and if you want a chain, you’ve got three different ones to choose from.  When you place your order you'll be charged only for the stone and setting and you'll make a note on your order letting me know what options you'd like.  Then I'll reach out with your balance due once I know how you'd like your jewelry and begin work on your piece.  The jewelry will be finished in about a week and will ship out once the balance is paid in full.  This could be so amazing or frustrating and confusing but I wanted to try it lol!!!!  Let me know what you think!!!

The idea started as a way to offer rings that aren’t fully finished, so you can choose your size before I set the stone. This avoids the heartbreak of falling in love with a ring that's the wrong size and can’t be resized after the stone is set. What began as one ring design quickly snowballed into two rings and a couple of pendant options... plus chain choices!

If this feels a bit overwhelming, don’t worry. I’m only offering this for two weeks. After that, I’ll finish the remaining pieces in the way I think suits them best. I just thought it would be a fun way for you to customize your jewelry and get a peek into the design process along the way!

These are Iolite gemstones—completely natural in color and durable, with stunning rose-cut facets that really catch the light! I crafted closed-back sterling silver settings for them, meaning there’s solid silver behind each stone. This design allows light to pass through the transparent Iolite, reflect off the polished silver, and bounce back to create a beautiful glow.

Right now, the stones are loose in the settings because I need to finish the pieces before securing them. Once set, the gemstones will be framed by a rim of polished silver, bringing out their sparkle even more.

You have four design options to choose from: two rings and two pendants. Let’s start by comparing the rings. Here’s a side-by-side photo of both options without the stones.

The first ring has a simple, heavy hammered band that will be soldered to the setting, with the stone sitting flatter against the finger. The second design is more ornate, featuring silver balls on either side of the stone. In this version, the stone will sit higher, as the silver disc beneath it adds dimension for a more statement-like ring. Depending on the size of the gemstone, some of the disc may be visible, while larger stones might cover it almost completely.  Both options will have a true to size fit and be super comfortable to wear.  I took quick mock up photos of each stone so you can see how it would look on each band.

For the necklace options, you have two choices. The first is a simple design with a minimalist bail soldered onto the setting. The second option features hand-hammered sterling silver circles and a 3mm faceted Tanzanite accent. I was thrilled with how perfectly the Iolite stones pair with the Tanzanite!  For either necklace, you can choose your chain.  I've taken pics of each chain with each pendant so you can see how the type of chain changes the look and decide what works best for you!
